A movie

From first glance it seemed to be a sincere request, perhaps an offer of condolence. Though, why they needed to meet in the parking lot at this time of night and in such frigid weather baffled him. Eddy, academically inept and completely negligent of such responsibility, usually regarded this time of night as sacred. Every ounce of beauty sleep crucial for that ever-sarcastic smile, he supposed! This was definitely an odd request, and under normal circumstances Double D would have declined.

But these were not normal circumstances. Regardless of the jeopardy they would face in sneaking out past curfew to trespass on school property, he needed someone to talk to... desperately.

Upon arrival, and noticing that Eddy's backpack was stuffed to the zipper with toilet paper, he hoped dearly that they were 2-ply. Eddy asked why he took so long to get there, and why his eyes were so bloodshot, but Double D was just too tired to explain. Eddy was miffed at the dismissal and assumed it was because of what had happened earlier that day, going as far as to address Double D as a crybaby for it.

Just because he was humiliated in front of an entire school assembly, stripped of his dignity at some brash assumption made by the opposing party, he didn't have to be such a wimp about it. So, yeah, maybe he'll lose a few votes. "Suck it up!" Eddy would say. However, even with such endearing words from his supportive friend, Double D would never wear his jacket quite as proudly again.

And as the fluffy roll of white zipped through the air towards his beloved building of scholastic learning, and the air around them suddenly glittered with snow, Double D reveled in this love/hate relationship called High School.
